Two Brilliant Tourmalines on Cleavelandite Blades

Two Brilliant Tourmalines on Cleavelandite Blades
  The Mineral Gallery, Inc.

Gorgeous specimen featuring two brilliant Tourmalines on Cleavelandite blades!

The largest Tourmaline is mostly red but changes over to a greenish color just below where it touches the Cleavelandite. The termination at top is perfect and the sides are incredibly glassy and lustrous! The surface striations leap out at you as you roll the specimen from side to side. The smaller companion Tourmaline to the left is a mix of red and green coloration but also has a full termination. This is one of the prettiest California Tourmaline combos that I've seen recently and there is no damage to the tips.

From the Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande District, San Diego County, California.
